Back around Thanksgiving, Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee referred to Boise State's conference opponents as "Little Sisters of the Poor," and said the Broncos didn't deserve to be in the national title game.
Well, Boise State did lose to Nevada last week, and its hopes of a title-game appearance ended.
HOWEVER...
Quoting Sports Illustrated writer Stewart Mandel's tweet, "Little Sisters 1, Murderers Row 0."
And to what does that tweet refer?
Fresno State 25, Illinois 23.
Yup, the fantastic Fighting Illini from the big-boy Big 10 lost at little old Fresno State on Friday night.
Guess the Little Sisters play a decent brand of football after all.
